NEVER ENOUGH!
NEVER GOOD ENOUGH!!!
I think it is one of the biggest lies out there.
And yet…I fall prey to it all the time.
Today…I have…
- Written two blogs…
- Freed three butterflies…
- Made breakfast and lunch for Cookie Monster…
- Fed PanKwake…
- Cleared out the junk room…i.e given loads of stuff away too
- Washed three…or maybe four loads of laundry…
- Loaded and ran the dishwasher…
- Found Cheeky Chocolate that PanKwake has been screaming about for a week…that is how the junk room ended up being cleaned actually. I was half way finished by the time I found him so I said…what the heck and just completed the job.
- And the missing filters for the fish tank.
It is only 3 o’clock.
Yet I find it difficult to take a break…even though my body wants one…desperately. THAT voice just keeps whispering…Push through. There is so much more that needs to be done.
Here is a secret…
There will always be more that needs to be done!
Right up until the moment you die. So every now and then…give yourself a break.
- Drink a glass of wine…
- Take a bubble bath…
- Eat Chocolate (not Cheeky though…plastic does not taste good)…
- Read a good book…
- Take a nap…
So rather than preaching at you…I am taking my butt off to do a couple of those. You can guess which…or maybe I’ll tell you later.
And that requires…taking care of you sometimes…so you can take care of others!
